Northeast Washington Alliance Counseling Services Mobile Crisis Response - Certified Peer Counselor in Colville, Washington

TITLE: Mobile Crisis Response - Certified Peer CounselorDUTIES: The Mobile Crisis Response - Certified Peer Counselor’s primary responsibility is to support NEWACS Mobile Crisis Teams by offering “lived experience” to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis in order to promote outreach, improved engagement, and to facilitate/promote positive outcomes during crisis episodes. Helping clients to locate community resources (including NEWACS programs, medical providers, family, and friends, etc.) in order to ensure access to needed services and to reconstruct or develop a natural support network for the person in crisis.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have lived experience, defined as a current or past recipient of behavioral health services. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related human services required. Applicant must be eligible to become licensed with the Washington State Department of Health as an Agency Affiliated Counselor (can be obtained after hire). Must be a Certified Peer Counselor (can be obtained after hire) as defined by Washington State Health Division. Must have good written & oral communication skills and be able to complete administrative & clinical records. Computer literacy desirable – clinical software used. Abstract of driving record for past three years required. Satisfactory criminal history backgrounds check results are a condition of employment. NEWACS is a Behavioral Health Service Provider that is mandated to have employees vaccinated for COVID-19.SALARY AND BENEFITS: Benefits include health, dental, vision and life insurance, retirement benefits, and “paid time off” (PTO). Starting annual salary $53,720.00 based on qualifications and experience. Continuing education opportunities provided.WORK SETTING: Positions located in Colville, WA and Davenport, WA. The agency provides behavioral healthcare treatment services for Stevens, Ferry, and Lincoln Counties.
