We are looking for a Fiscal Technician Lead to help in our busy fiscal department located in Colville, WA.   Our ideal candidates will have accounting and payroll experience and must be able to adjust to an influx in workload during high volume times, i.e. fire season, fiscal year-end, etc. We are looking for someone who exhibits the agency's core values of Personal Accountability, Value Others, Compassionate Communication, Inspire Others, and Commitment to Excellence.

*Required Qualifications: *

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency; AND at least 1 year fiscal and accounting experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience with Payroll and Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivables to include: Basic knowledge of accounting principles AND Experience using professional automated accounting programs.
  • Two years experience in a professional setting using computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and explaining laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience presenting and communicating technical information.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice practices.
  • Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.
