Rural Resources Community Action Classroom/Kitchen Aide - Smart Start Learning Center in Colville, Washington
Rural Resources Community Action is looking for a Classroom/Kitchen Aide for our Smart Start Learning Center in Colville, WA. This position is full-time (40 hours per week) with benefits, working with Toddler, Preschool, & School-Age children. The learning center operates 6:45am-5:30pm and individual shift times will vary. As a Classroom/Kitchen Aide), you will work under close supervision of education staff to assist in conducting the activities of an early childhood program, implements trauma invested practices that support social-emotional learning and self-regulation in the classroom and be able to provide a safe environment that includes active supervision of all children under their care. This position will also be responsible for food preparation and kitchen duties (including shopping), housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance duties required.
A Classroom/Kitchen Aide will need to have the ability to interact with young children in a supportive, positive manner, demonstrated positive communication skills with children and adults, basic understanding of young children, and use a positive approach in directing and guiding children.
To apply for this position, you would need a High School Diploma or GED and one year experience with preschool or elementary school age children.
Salary & Benefit information
The hiring range for this role is $18.06-$19.53 per hour. The full salary range of $18.06-$30.07 per hour represents the low and high end of the total salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience & qualifications. After the successful completion of our six-month training period, you will receive a 4% step increase. As a regular employee, you may receive an additional 4% step increase on your annual anniversary with RRCA.
