Job Opportunity: Feed Mill Operator
The responsibilities include assisting in the management of the mill and feed supplies in the process of storing, mixing, and delivering the feed to pigs. As needed, help clean facilities, assist in moving animals between buildings. Learn basic operations of other barns to help with chores as needed. May help weigh, sort and load pigs for market or private pick up.
Skills desired: Experience with routine preventative tasks of equipment and vehicles. Assist in the repair and maintenance of projects with staff. All necessary training will be provided on the job. Attention to detail is essential for ensuring the safety of our product and the health of the animals.
Schedule: Full-time position, 40 hr./week. Workdays are typically an 8-hour day. Working weekends are required every 5th weekend. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver\'s license and have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Be able to work well with animals and as a team.
The starting wage is \$19.00/ hr. or higher depending on experience. After 6 months, you get a half of pig cut and wrapped. After a year, 2 weeks paid vacation.
