This is an exciting opportunity to join an energetic and driven team.An ideal candidate has a background in project management, transportation, and excellent data driven problem resolution skills. They have the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders, influence others, analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require solid communication skills while having the ability to work independently on data driven project-based work in a dynamic environment.Key job responsibilitiesCreate a best in class transportation procurement strategy with appropriate metrics to continuously improve network enablement, reduced spend, and focus on org strategic initiatives within the AWS team.Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and delivery to project schedulesAddress barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholdersDevelop and maintain procurement best practices globally while working with global transportation operations teams.Navigating through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitmentsAnalyze data across databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems) and build reporting to support the execution of the strategic initiatives.A day in the lifeThis role might be for you if:* You are passionate about transportation and have an interest in cloud computing supply chain.* You enjoy working with data to analyze and report complex data sets to drive optimal business decisions. (Advanced excel, SQL, Tableau, Quicksight)* You own decisions from inception to implementation.* You own continuous improvement efforts using your program management skills.* 10+ years of experience in Logistics/Transportation Commercial Strategy, Supply Chain, or Business Intelligence.* Bachelor's or advanced degree, or 4+ additional years of related experience, in lieu of a degree* 5+ years of experience with data analysis, visualization and reporting, using tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, Tableau, Quicksight* 5+ years of experience in project, program or product management, or implementation of supply chain systems* Completed Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations Research or similar field* Proficiency in Agile and/or Lean Six Sigma supply chain strategies* Extensive experience in the ground transportation, freight forwarding, airline, cargo ground handling or air/ocean freight industry* Work experience in the tech/cloud computing sector is an advantage* Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement* Highly proficient in written and oral communications a
