Requisition Summary Provide support to Purchasing Commodity Managers within the Composites, Structures, Fabrications, and Stampings Department in the areas of quote management, business award, contracts, supplier development, commodity strategy, cost management, supplier performance improvement, and resourcing. Interface with External Suppliers and PACCAR Engineering, Supplier Quality and Materials. The position can be based out of the PACCAR Corporate office in Lewisville, Texas or Bellevue, Washington. Job Functions / Responsibilities Daily activities in support of this mission include: Support all aspects of supplier quotations including loading of bids and bid packages, processing of responses, evaluation, and award. Timely processing in support of program and project schedules is essential. Assist with the development of supplier contracts and agreements. Support development of commodity strategies and suppliers. Develop and implement cost management initiatives utilizing Materials Cost Excellence strategies to improve overall delivered product costs. Support activities to drive improved supplier performance in delivery, quality and cost. Travel to supplier locations in support of these objectives as required. Assist with resourcing initiatives as necessary - bid packages, supplier alternatives, response analysis, selection and award. Communicate and conduct meetings and formal presentations with suppliers, plant, and division personnel as necessary. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Required: *Strong analytical skills * Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic *Project Team participation and/or Project Management * Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, & presentation * Advanced PC skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Tableau) * Ability to travel as needed (domestic and international) Education/Training REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field. Purchasing or related experience - commercial transportation, heavy equipment, or automotive experience is a plus.
