Job Description The Project Manager Position II directs and manages the processes and activities of Distributed Solar & Battery Storage projects that carry medium risk and financial impact within the Commercial and Industrial space, generally between 200kW and 5 MW and inclusive of both PSE- owned assets and Power Purchase/ Tolling Agreements. Manages and executes projects with a clearly defined scope of work, which may involve multiple internal customers or departments, as well as external customers. Coordinates and communicates tasks with other departments such as Engineering, Real Estate, Environmental, Permitting and System Planning. Drafts medium complexity contracts, monitor contracts and contractors. Supports construction related activities of infrastructure installation or replacement. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Job Responsibilities Leads multi-disciplinary project teams. Responsible for schedule and budget development, management and forecasting Coordinates resources, provides oversight and direction to team members. Performs effective upfront project planning and advocacy of PSE's operational objectives to minimize costs and change orders, identify risks and maximize efficiency through negotiation and conflict resolution. Identifies the scope of an assigned project and decides logical action to meet project requirements and deadlines. Communicates and manages the customer relationship as the primary point of contact. Communicates technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences, sometimes in public settings. Accurately identifiesy customer needs, sets reasonable expectations, identify potential issues and share alternatives. Recognizes technical issues that impact the projects under their leadership and develops plans to mitigate project risks. Facilitates communication between service providers and internal customers, which may include technical support at the direction of a senior project manager. Responds to customer concerns and works with appropriate parties for resolution. Facilitates technical assistance to internal and external customers. Ensure compliance with codes, standards, design criteria, operation and maintenance requirements. Applies general rules, standards and guidelines to specific technical problems. Projects modifications and upgrades to existing facilities on the electric distribution system in support of interconnection requirements. Collaborate with internal departments, Service Providers, EPC Contractors, Developers and external entities to coordinate construction schedules and obtain appropriate resources. Supports construction activities related to projects. Reports on project and program progress as directed. Gathers, consolidates and analyzes facts in relation to project requirements. Responsible for schedule and budget development, management and forecasting. Supports emergency response work as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
