How you\'ll create opportunities in this Manager/Director role: As a Manager/Director, you will respond to tax questions from other members of the firm, research difficult tax issues, offer suggestions for tax planning and proper structuring of transactions, and analyze new developments to provide explanations and planning pointers to CLA professionals. The candidate should have extensive experience in an accounting or law firm, focusing on providing technical guidance in the areas of US partnership tax, tax reporting forms and procedures, and have the ability to prepare clear and accurate written communications on technical tax matters. The candidate must also have the ability to present internal webcasts and lead other internal tax education sessions within the firm.You will also regularly contribute to internal and external articles, technical tax training, client-facing webcasts and resources for CLA professionals. What you will need: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, MST/MBT or JD/LLM preferred 6+ years of experience including extensive knowledge of US partnership taxation and a thorough understanding of relevant risk management procedures 6+ years of experience with IRS controversy matters Advanced technical knowledge of tax concepts with the ability to leverage this knowledge to various situations Experience in an accounting or law firm or IRS Chief Counsel\'s office preferred CPA certification. JD or EA (Director only) in place of CPA certification Compensation Strategy Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range. The California posting range for this role is \$119,000 - \$199,000.
