Smartsheet is looking for a Manager, Commercial Security Solutions Engineering to manage, lead, and develop a team of skilled Security Solutions Engineers who play a key role in the technical sales process by specializing in cybersecurity. In this role, you will partner directly with Sales and Solutions Engineering leadership to deliver on strategies for revenue growth and quota attainment. You will be a leader within the Solutions Engineering organization that is on a mission to grow revenue and to empower anyone to drive meaningful change - for themselves, their businesses, and the world.This role is part of the Worldwide Field Operations team and is based remotely on the X coast. You will report to the Director of Solutions Engineering Operations. You Will: Hire, manage and develop a team of Security Solutions Engineers who lead technical sales engagements, provide security information and guidance as the Smartsheet subject matter expert to prospects, as well as current enterprise users Partner with Sales Leadership to set and deliver on strategies for revenue growth, quota attainment, and learning opportunities for the sales organization Collaborate with sales, product, customer success, and professional services teams to provide the best customer experience (evaluation, purchase, delivery, and deployment of Smartsheet) Align and prioritize your team's workloads and development opportunities, providing regular skill coaching and feedback Build, optimize and scale career development tracks that enable employees to become experts in Smartsheet security and the cybersecurity industry Ensure the sustained high performance of your team by eliminating hurdles, fostering a secure work environment, and inspiring and mentoring team members to foster their personal growth Sponsor and participate in organization wide projects and programs to drive efficiency, capability, and collaboration Provide technical leadership and product expertise to the team and the larger sales organization Become a cybersecurity subject matter expert for Smartsheet, including front-end, back-end, and application layer security Partner with internal Risk & Governance, Information Security, Legal, Privacy, and Engineering teams and leaders to maintain a close working relationship You Have: 2+ years of experience as a Manager for a Solutions or Sales Engineering team, Solution Architect team, Information Security, Technical Support, or related field in the SaaS and enterprise software industry 5+ years of pre-sales experience in SaaS or enterprise software Familiarity with SOC2 report formats and existing generally accepted security baselines and standards (e.g. FedRAMP, ISO, PCI, OWASP, HIPAA, etc) Currently have or are working towards CISSP/CISA or GIAC GSEC Nice to have in addition: Security+, CCSP/CCSK, SSCP, or other industry certifications Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate, coach and develop a team of Solutions Engineers Experience collaborating cross-functionally Critical thinking skills, a growth mindset, and experience analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing complex problems Strong technical skills and comfort working in ambiguous and high-pressure situations Experience selling a multipurpose product applicable to multiple lines of business or industries Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences Familiarity with project management methodologies and products Relentless curiosity and a commitment to excellence Perks & Benefits:<
