The Odom Corporation Cash Application Supervisor in Clyde Hill, Washington

Description This position is responsible for supervising the cash team staff and the daily activities of the AR cash application duties and responsibilities within approved corporate guidelines under the direction of the assigned Manager/Supervisor. Starting at $68,000. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The supervisor will plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review the work of a diverse workforce. Manage daily, post and allocation of all types of payments including Lockbox, ACH / EFT, etc. Ensure desktop deposits, processing of credit cards, which includes GL transactions and allocations done daily. Ensure Customer reseller and G-17/GET tax certificates meet state requirements. New account set up and maintenance required daily. Monitor the Cash Application email box and ensure timely and accurate response to internal and external inquiries. Perform daily, month end and year end close activities. Develop and revise work processes and establish work schedules. Monitor work performed to meet department goals and objectives. Develop, implement, and monitor process for secure, accurate and timely collection, deposit and recording of cash deposits in Workday. Participate with any audits, examine internal controls, and make recommendations to leadership. GL reconciling and Auditing requests submitted timely for approval (customer refunds, Intercompany transactions and transfers, credit cards, etc.) Manage AR testing criteria for new releases and company changes (Encompass, eoStar, EDI, SharePoint, system migrations, etc.) Coordination of hiring, routine performance reviews and work with staff to correct deficiencies. Provide or coordinate staff training. Other related accounting duties and projects as assigned. Job Requirements BA or BS in Accounting or another related field preferred but not required. Minimum of 3-6 years related work experience. NACM Certification preferred not required. Beverage industry experience a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel - intermediate, Outlook) Fintech/iControl, Banking software, Encompass, eoStar, Vena a plus. Knowledge of basic accounting principles, General Ledger reconciliation a plus. Previous lead or supervisor role managing three or more individuals. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be detail oriented, with problem solving ability, and strong organization skills. Excellent customer service skills. Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask to meet deadlines. Able to prioritize, delegate and constantly seek opportunities for streamlining or process improvement.
