Full-Time - Permanent Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC)

The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Fiscal Technician 2 at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.

Clallam Bay Corrections Center is a 900 bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula. It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island. This facility houses medium and close custody offenders. CBCC also operates an Intensive Management Unit.

Duties

The Fiscal Technician 2 is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting of state and local funds. This ensures the fiscal needs of offenders and facility operations are met.

Key duties include:

  • Offender banking: Process deposit, withdrawal and transfer activity to offender accounts. Apply DOC policy, WAC, and RCW in responding to inquiries received from offenders, offender family/friends, local/other facility staff and external entities.
  • Offender releases: Apply policy 200.000 guidelines to payment of outstanding department debt and deductions from offender sub-accounts required by statute, prepare release check from offender's account, prepare gate funds and arrange for transportation as requested on offender release paperwork. Maintain cash drawer/box held on-site.
  • Month-end activity: Provide necessary reports to assist with preparation of required local fund Department, other local funds, State of WA, and external entities to include other State/Federal/County agencies and the courts.
  • Prepare and/or post Class II, III, and IV offender gratuities on a schedule established locally.
  • Maintain accounting required for offender club/fund raising activity. Qualifications


  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Preferred:

  • Some college, vocational or business school training.

  • One or two years of general clerical or fiscal experience. Supplemental Information
