Job Summary: The Department of Mathematics at Eastern Washington University is seeking a Special Faculty Lecturer to teach courses in mathematics and/or statistics. This 9-month appointment is for the academic year 2024/25 starting September 16, 2024 and ending June 15, 2025. The appointment may be renewed based on departmental needs. The Department of Mathematics is a diverse department offering a variety of degrees including Bachelor's Degrees in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Data Science and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. The typical workload for this position will involve teaching three courses per quarter (45 credits per academic year). The candidate should be able to teach a variety of mathematics courses, preferably including statistics at multiple levels. This is a teaching-only position. The position will offer opportunities to engage in collaborative research and service of interest to the candidate, but this is not a requirement.
