Job Summary:
The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics (CHBP ) at Eastern Washington University (EWU ) invites applications for a Lecturer position in Chemistry to begin in September 2025.
The department of CHBP offers academic programs leading to bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry (BS), Chemistry (BA & BS) and Forensic Science (BS).
The Chemistry program has 11 faculty members and approximately 120 undergraduate majors. We take pride in our student focused programs, strong undergraduate research activities and newly remodeled teaching and laboratory facilities.
We are seeking broadly trained candidates who will be inspirational teachers, role models, and mentors who complement the strengths of our faculty to engage in instructionally intensive undergraduate programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.

The typical workload for this position will involve teaching three courses per quarter (45 credits per academic year). Teaching responsibilities may include contributing to our chemistry for the health sciences, introductory chemistry and general chemistry courses.
