Job Summary:

 

• Eastern Washington University is seeking a results-driven, dynamic professional to join our committed fundraising team as Director of Philanthropy for the College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. We are looking for a people-oriented professional, who is passionate about making a difference for our students and EWU and eager to join us in the university's first $100 Million campaign.

• The College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics [CSTEM] prepares students for high-demand career fields through affordable degree programs, including biology, chemistry, computer science, geoscience and electrical engineering. Beyond the classroom, Eastern offers students numerous real-world experiences to prepare them for exciting careers, including hands-on research, habitat restoration and entrepreneurial collaborations.

 

Position Overview:

 

• The Director of Philanthropy, CSTEM is assigned to the University Advancement unit. This position leads strategic philanthropic efforts for CSTEM by developing and implementing effective strategies to secure significant philanthropic support for college priorities, including scholarships, undergraduate research, and experiential learning.

• The Director of Philanthropy, CSTEM is responsible for cultivating relationships with potential and current major gift donors ($25k+) to Eastern Washington University. This position manages a portfolio of 100-120 high net worth donors and prospective donors and is responsible for facilitating all phases of the donor gift cycle, including discovery, cultivation, solicitation (face-to-face and written proposals), gift closure and stewardship.
