Job Summary:
Eastern Washington University is seeking a Director of Philanthropy. The philanthropy director will lead fundraising efforts for the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (CAHSS). In partnership with Student Affairs the philanthropy director will also lead priority fundraising efforts to support the diverse needs of Eastern's student population. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Philanthropy, the Director of Philanthropy, CAHSS, works collaboratively with University leadership, program directors, faculty and key volunteers to:
• In collaboration with the dean, develop and carry out the annual fundraising plan for the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences. Priority is on discovering and qualifying individuals as major gift prospects to find new support for the college. Maintaining and elevating current major gift relationships with individuals, foundations and companies to grow current philanthropic engagement is expected. In general, college priorities are focused on scholarships, student success programs such as undergraduate research and co-curricular and experiential learning opportunities.
