Job Summary:

 

The Child Welfare Training & Advancement Program (CWTAP ) in the School of Social Work is currently seeking applicants for a CWTAP Director. This position is part of the College of Professional Programs at Eastern Washington University.

The Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP ) is a partnership between the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF ), University of Washington (Seattle and Tacoma), Partners for Our Children, and the Alliance for Child Welfare Excellence. CWTAP prepares baccalaureate and graduate-level social work students for a career in public child welfare. The program admits current and prospective DCYF employees attending Eastern Washington University's Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW ) and Master of Social Work (MSW ) program(s).

 

• The Director is responsible for the overall development, coordination, and administration of CWTAP for all CWTAP sites, staff, and students. The Director works directly with the Office of Field and Part-Time Program Directors regarding practicum placement of CWTAP students. The Director acts as a liaison with social work faculty and provides oversight of the CWTAP contract integrity, budget management, and ensures federal regulations are met. The Director is expected to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with DCYF in all six (6) regions, as well as other stakeholders for the CWTAP .
