Job Summary:

 

Eastern Washington University invites applications for an Advisor/Retention Specialist in the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP ).

 

CAMP is a federally funded program designed to support students from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds during their first year of college. The program provides students with financial assistance and support services, with the goal of preparing them to continue their education at a four year-college or university.

 

The Advisor/Retention Specialist for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP ) grant is responsible for providing academic support services necessary to ensure the success and retention of students participating in the College Assistance Migrant Program. This position is primarily responsible for mentoring/tutoring services, academic and student support, orientation programs, communication with EWU faculty and staff about CAMP students and other related duties such as coordination, scheduling and monitoring program activities.

In the course of performing the position's duties, this position will have extensive involvement with students, staff and the public in carrying out program activities, and will coordinate, schedule and monitor program activities to determine consistency with program goals. Position reports directly to the Director of the CAMP .
