In this role through a constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the shipping/receiving/facility related activities of the warehouse; enforcing productivity and quality rates, reviews/pay adjustments, E-Time (payroll), and any other related issues to ensure that the daily workload is completed efficiently and accurately; keeping the shift staffed and disciplined at a level where the work will be completed in an efficient manner; ensuring warehouse operations are in accordance with established procedures and policies; and keeping management well informed of significant problems and area activities. Some of what you will do: Manage all the day-to day activities surrounding inbound, outbound, inventory control, AND/OR facility warehouse operations Monitor, research, and implement solutions regarding issues related to damaged product, mis-shipped product, and missing product Assist in developing / adjusting of policies and procedures for warehouse operations Manage equipment needs and suggests investments for capital improvements Ensure that Warehouse materials are rotated and stored properly Assume responsibility for the maintenance of Warehouse facilities. Ensure that both the inside and outside of the facilities are clean and orderly Work to develop and maintain productive business relations with internal and external customers Provide leadership to direct reports while focusing on process improvements and creating a high performance supervisory team Manage labor needs to ensure business needs are met in an efficient manner Foster positive employee relations, while ensuring Company vision and mission are active Manage performance of direct reports and also ensuring accountability at all levels within dept. Ensure operations meet or exceed Company metrics. Partner with Human Resources to find and retain talent Ensure all company policies are followed and implements proper solutions when needed Maintain or develop reports to understand the state of operations, or where to make improvements Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location. Professionals with the following: Education/ Certifications: Bachelor's degree in business or related field (preferred, not required) Additional related facility management training preferred Experience: Five or more years of related experience, with at least two or more years of supervisory experience 3 - 5 years warehouse management and/or logistics management experience in a complex, service-driven organization Experience in shipping/receiving is preferred Knowledge: Excellent understanding of inventory control and management procedures Understanding of Company operations Knowledge of budgeting, supply contracts, and shipping requirements Skills/ Abilities: Excellent leadership abil
