DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Industrial Electrician - Camas, WA If you are looking for a challenging and exciting opportunity with a growing company- then we have the position for you! We are currently recruiting for Electricians to join our team at our Camas, WA Mill. Successful employees will create value by repairing, troubleshooting, and installing instrumentation and electrical devices throughout our facility- thus, ensuring reliability of equipment to help meet and exceed the facility's goals for quality and production. Georgia-Pacific's paper mill in Camas, WA has been in operation since 1883. This mill employs approximately 150 people and manufactures paper towel. A Day In The Life Typically Includes: * Actively contributing to creating a safe work environment * Inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems while wearing proper protection equipment * Maintaining PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers) and AC/DC drives * Changing out parts, repairing or upgrading electrical equipment, relays, fuses, motor and/or wiring and transferring work to the shop as necessary * Performing preventative maintenance tasks as assigned What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED * Experience with PLCs and drive systems * Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment * Experience working with computers for record-keeping and documentation functions * Willing and to work overtime and rotating shifts * Willing and able to lift 50 lbs. routinely * One or more of the following: * A minimum of four (4) years of Journey-level Electrical Maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or industrial military setting * Completion of a State Certified Apprenticeship Program * Certification/diploma from an Electrical Trade School and the ability to work independently after initial mill training/probationary period What Will Put You Ahead? Preferred Qualifications: * Electrical Maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or industrial military environment * Electrical Maintenance experience in the paper industry * Completion of a State Certified Apprenticeship or Trade School Program * Multi-trade/Instrumentation experience * State Electrical License * Experience in Microsoft Office Software (Excel- updating and creating spreadsheets, Word- document creation/editing) Want to learn more about Georgia-Pacific?
