SUMMARY:

The qualified candidates will be fully knowledgeable of machine repair and maintenance operations, and/or be proficient in reading mechanical/electrical prints, pneumatic schematics, and hydraulic schematics, proficient in pipe fitting skills of air, water and hydraulics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair and maintain high speed production equipment.
  • Practice safe work habits. Follows proper lock out tag out procedures as required. Completes all OSHA required training as required and correct any unsafe conditions, as necessary.
  • Performs changeovers on equipment as required.
  • Schedules preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Proficient at installing, repairing, and rebuilding equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to resolve technical and complex mechanical issues.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and work effectively with others in a positive manner.
  • Takes the lead and initiates resolution of technical, unusual, or complex problems or issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • General understanding of electric and electrical controls (PLCs).
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary; the flexibility to work days, evenings and/or weekends is preferred.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • High school diploma
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Technical school completion
  • A combination of work experience and education may be sufficient.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Able to read and perform work instructions.
  • HVAC/R experience preferred.
  • Electrical knowledge preferred.
  • Mechanical background or experience required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

You may be required to work in an area that is wet and cold. Fast paced work environment.
