Hiring for Maintenance Technician II in Burlington, WA

Rotating 12 hour shift, 6 AM- 6PM or 6 PM - 6 AM

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will perform preventative maintenance and repair production equipment while working with the team on electrical and mechanical projects. Our state-of-the-art facilities in the US and Canada engineer and design the latest generation of solar products, utilizing advanced manufacturing technology to produce high-efficiency PV cells and modules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts’ inventory levels.

• Perform repairs on equipment to restore them to proper and safe work conditions.

• Perform installation, set up, modification, and relocation of equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements.

• Read/write electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.

• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.

• Ensure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown or unsafe operating conditions and inform Maintenance Manager about changes in electric circuits and update original diagrams.

• Follow LOCK OUT/TAG OUT procedures on unsafe machines/machines being serviced.

• Adhere to work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms and organize workplace to comply with housekeeping requirements.

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required.

• Complete electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given as required by government regulation.

• Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.

• Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects, and special assignments as directed.

• Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety.

• Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves.

Essential Skills

• Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and ladder/function block logic.

• Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contactors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches, and proximity sensors.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Minimum 3 years of experience within a related role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Team-oriented.

• High degree of attention to detail, precision, and follow-through.

• Willing and able to work rotating shift.

• Able to conceive and manage small projects.

• At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment with multiple priorities is preferred.

• A certificate from technical trade school or Military experience in lieu of or related subject is preferred.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $79000.00/yr.
