Location: Bremerton, Washington Type: Non-exempt Compensation: $29.66 - $37.06 per hour. Skookum's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience. Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. Hybrid schedule possible.) As a Workers Compensation Administrator, you'll... The Workers Compensation Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Skookum's Worker's Compensation claims including Washinton State Labor & Industries and out of state claims as well as OSHA reporting for all Skookum site and work locations. Works closely with employees, Human Resources, operational leadership, consultants, and medical/occupational medical staff to assist in claims resolution, including return to work options. Investigates current and past claims and incidents and collaborates closely with the safety function to identify accident trends, causal factors, and prevention strategies. Prepares files for litigation, hearings, appeals, and protests. Partners with the CFO and Controller during settlement negotiations to ensure reasonable outcomes. Prepares monthly metrics reports for analysis with cross functional teams. Ensures compliance with relevant policies, procedures, legislation, claims monitoring, administration, and report generation. Provides exceptional and professional customer service while efficiently managing Skookum's Worker's Compensation claims to include WA State L&I and out-of-state locations. This entails timely and accurate claims reporting, case management, coordinating with medical providers, third party administrators, and employees at all Skookum locations. Investigates and monitors claims and coordinates light duty work between employee, supervisors, medical providers, third party administrators, claims adjusters/managers, and insurance carriers as appropriate. Responsible for developing and implementing return-to-work and modified light duty programs and works closely with Supervisors and third-party administrators to build light duty job descriptions for Skookum. Reviews and evaluates work-related Injury/First Aid Accident Reports for completeness and clarity of dates and analyzes data as needed to ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. Manages the OSHA process. Prepares reports and maintains control and tracking systems to enable compliance with OSHA record keeping, annual posting, and electronic filing requirements. Works collaboratively with the safety function to develop strategies to control or mitigate losses, promote safe working conditions, and improve incident and claims data management. Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with employees, supervisors, managers, HR, providers, insurance representatives, and other interested parties, as necessary regarding claim related matters.
