Type: Exempt

Compensation: $100,000 - $160,000 per year (Skookum's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. This is a hybrid/remote position, with in possible office days at our Bremerton home office.)

As a Workday (ERP) Program Manager you'll… manage resource allocation and optimize utilization across projects and departments. Works with functional department customers to understand and analyze operational procedures, requirements, processes and/or other needs to bring about successful completion of the projects, specifically on Workday ERP initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset, strong leadership, organizational skills and excellent communication abilities. The Program Manager will analyze project demands, resource availability and constraints to develop effective resource allocation and communication plans to stakeholders.

  • Partner with the Workday Architect, plans, develops, leads and executes projects to meet established goals, objectives and timelines. Maintain up-to-date project documents for all initiatives that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables develop and implement resource planning strategies to align resource allocation with project demands and organizational goals.

  • Develops Self and Others: Invests time, energy, training and enthusiasm in developing self/others to help improve performance and gain knowledge in new areas. Recognizes group interactions and modifies one's own communication style to suit different situations and audiences.

  • Leads, mentors, and develops a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provides regular feedback, conducts performance evaluations, and supports career development for direct reports. Encourages continuous learning and professional growth within the team

  • Sets clear expectations and performance goals for direct reports, monitoring their progress and providing support as needed. Facilitates regular team meetings, one-on-one check-ins, and performance reviews. Addresses performance issues promptly and effectively, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Communicates within Workday Team and across stakeholder(s) to maximize information sharing around progress, needs, interdependencies and/or accomplishments.

  • Ensures Continuous Improvement: Applies various learning experiences by looking beyond symptoms of current day requests to uncover underlying causes of the root problems and identifies ways to resolve both current and future needs.

  • Project Management: Executes the project plans by planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.

  • Maintains regular contact with key colleagues and stakeholders using formal and informal opportunities to expand and strengthen relationships. Seeks to understand current and future business needs of relevant stakeholders and customizes services and communication to meet or exceed goals.

  • Project Planning: Demonstrates ability to realistically anticipate resource needs, identify and break work down into discrete and measurable tasks, set priorities, define dependencies, schedule activities, prepare acceptance criteria and organize work for the continuum of projects.

  • Participate in and frequently facilitate/organize team and cross-team meetings and maintaining accurate resource records and documentation, including resource schedules, utilization reports and allocation decisions.

  • Gap Analysis: Analyzes the difference between the current and desired state. The ability to draw appropriate and valid conclusions from data presented, sifting through data to determine the most significant elements. Identifying common elements and themes in situations and actions, recognizing cause and effect interdependency relationships.

  • Facilitates the identification of gaps in service level/processes to monitor resource utilization and addressing potential bottlenecks or conflicts by assisting in implementing necessary adjustments. Conduct resource capacity planning to assess and manage resource demands based on project priorities and objectives.

  • Process Improvement: Identifies, analyzes and improves upon existing business processes for optimization and to meet standards of quality.

  • Serve as an internal resource to ensure organization leaders are knowledgeable regarding the use of workforce data and analytics self-service tools.

  • Monitors and directs usage of WSP (Workday Support Plan) resources and Workday professional support ASK requests. Works with stakeholders and team to prioritize the requests and backlog.

  • Monitors Workday support ticketing system and provides leadership on timeliness, appropriate levels of escalation and customer service.

  • Ensure that the information is presented it in a visually clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to senior leadership level stakeholders.

  • Maintain resource management tools, systems and processes to enhance visibility, transparency and efficiency.

  • Ensure confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Skookum Resource Project Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Healthcare, Software Development, Technology or a related field required

  • 5 - 8 years of previous project management experience required

  • Previous HRCM system knowledge required

  • Previous Workday experience required in Core HCM, Business Process, and Reporting

  • Pro Certification preferred

  • Combination of previous experience and education will be considered

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, in English.

  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
