Shift ALL Security ClearanceNo Clearance ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description) Lead assigned Work Test Coordinators in the conduct of their duties. Execute tasks, establish guidelines, and set milestones to and monitor/oversee the performance of the Work Test Coordinators assigned to each project. Certify all contracted WAFs have been closed satisfactorily. Certify all required WAF and Test reports are submitted and settled. Submit required reports to the Customer. Coordinate and track WAFs and set up work authorization, work control, and WAF office on new jobs. POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training) High school graduate or equivalent with previous experience using the US Navy Tag-Out Program, TUM and JFMM. Former US Navy Enlisted Personnel and Junior Officers are well suited. POSITION DEMANDS (Required Experience) 5-8 years in a shipbuilding, repair or equivalent manufacturing environment with ability to read and comprehend work specifications, technical publications and blue prints is desired. Possess excellent interpersonal and communicative skills, both orally and written for constant daily interaction with Shipboard Departments and Contractors at all levels. Intermediate level experience using computers and MS Office software programs sufficient to perform repetitive office task in keyboarding, spread sheets, word documents and emails. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS X Carrying Lifting X Walking X Climbing Pulling X Must be able to go on vessels Crawling X Sitting X Visual Requirements X Crouching X Standing X Hearing Stooping Other X Kneeling X Talking Vision Requirements: The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform activity such as: operating machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach or by performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as ones by electricians, technicians, service people, painters, mechanics, etc. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Leads 4-6 employees (WAF Coordinators) Reports to Ship Manager during project execution Assist contractors in establishing an Electronic Work Authorization Form (EWAF) account and provide training as needed PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Sets up WTC Office on new avail projects tracking and maintaining accurate and timely WAF processing from WAF Submittal to Completion Review new WAFs for accuracy, completeness and work safety utilizing in-depth knowledge of all ship's systems, components and operations Provide customer service interface resolution for isolation conflicts between ship's force and contractors utilizing ships drawings, blue prints, schematics and technical manuals Coordinates the restoration of ships systems and components via WAF revisions or completions to ensure all maintenance testing can be performed safely for all contractors without detrimental effects to ships systems and operations Tracks and maintains status of all WAFs throughout various stages utilizing WAF log index, summary and status progress reports to meet project team goals and time lines Train and qualify NASSCO employees, contractors and ship's force as directed in the WAF and tag-out process basic purpose, use and restrictions through the Virginia Ship Repair Association (VSRA) WAF/Tag-out requirements Assist contractors in establishing an Electronic Work Authorization Form (EWAF) account and provide training as needed Maintain an accurate WAF and tag-out roster training data base as well as a copy of the plan utilized to qualify and train personnel for review by the government Initiate corrective action requests (CAR) must possess the discretion to identify when WAF violations have been com
