Shift: ALL Security Clearance:No Clearance I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description) Responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the NASSCO-Bremerton Technical Library in accordance with all approved document controls and procedures, processing all technical data required to support execution of assigned projects, operating all Technical Library reproduction equipment, and other non-routine items as directed by the Planning Manager. Ensure appropriate format of technical documents is accomplished to support all naval and commercial repair contracts. II. POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training) High School graduate; preferably with some college or technical training POSITION DEMANDS (Required Experience A. Ability to learn in cataloging engineering documentation such as drawings and technical manuals B. Ability to learn in cataloging Navy documentation such as NSTM, MIL-Specs/Standards, SIDs, SDI's, CDRLs, etc. C. Obtain and maintain a Government clearance D. Basic knowledge of Library storage, archiving and cataloging methods E. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in Excel and Word F. Strong organizational skills while processing high volume workflow G. Ability to type 60 wpm H. Ability to understand and comply with document control procedures III. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS X Carrying Lifting X Walking Climbing Pulling Must be able to go on vessels Crawling X Sitting X Visual Requirements: Crouching X Standing X Hearing X Stooping Other: X Kneeling X Talking Vision Requirements: The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform all activity. IV. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Planning & Estimating Manager. Interacts frequently with internal repair departments, production, trades, subcontractors on technical documentation requirements V. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES A. Provides for storage and distribution of all technical documents such as drawings, technical manuals, specification, mil specs/standards, etc. required in support of all naval and commercial repair contracts B. Maintains Repair Technical Library as the local storage and distribution point for repair contract technical documents C. Flag and maintain list of technical documents that are un-obtainable and report to the Planning Manager. D. Ensure and demonstrate that Export Compliance protocol is followed E. Provide Printing service for proposals and briefs to the government VI. ACCOUNTABILITY A. Ensure latest revision of Technical Manuals are maintained within the repository per contract requirements B. Ensure latest revision of Technical Drawings are maintained within the repository per contract requirements C. Process electronic in-box daily D. Practice discretion while in support of proposal preparation for Repair Estimating and/or Repair Contracts E. Handle and store NOFORN documents in accordance with Export Compliance policies F. Validate walk-up customer badges and their level of clearance for document delivery in accordance with Security and Export Compliance policies VII. UNIQUE/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must have reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required. Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects or controls, and to talk and hear. Must have good eye/hand coordination. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Pay Range: $29,220 - $37,820.
