Supervisor of Planning - Site Requisition ID 2024-13332 Location US-WA-Bremerton Seat Location EB Puget Sound (Bremerton), WA Trade Planning Shift 1st, 2nd, 3rd Security Clearance Required Secret Number of Openings 1 Overview Responsibilities: Puget site in Bremerton, WA. A Planning Supervisor position in support of various (all classes of submarine) programs for maintenance and modernization of delivered ship availabilities. Candidate will exhibit interpersonal skills and work on performance management and employee development. Functions will include but are not limited to: Overseeing daily operations for both detail and production planning and material control functions to support both manufacturing and installation teams. Responsible for detailed scheduling using project scheduling tools. Have an understanding of delivered ship work packages (TGI's) and be willing to work within the constructs on memorandums of agreement (MOA's). Oversee the processing of DFs to support work order and material procurement in support of Alteration Installation Team (AIT) operations. Overseeing the creation and maintenance of class files to support AIT kit fabrication. Overseeing the execution of new construction orders and liaison with detail planning (Groton) of new construction work orders. Coordinate with material control to ensure the availability of materials to support production. Make visits to off-site work areas to ensure efficient operations are being conducted. Working with operations, engineering, design, material systems, configuration management, quality, and other support organizations at various levels. Be aware of and in compliance with those attributes of safety, quality, cost, schedule, and process improvement as they apply to their position. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in production/detail/advance planning in a shipyard setting 4+ years of experience in a leadership role Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret clearance as a condition of employment Must be willing to travel and work overtime/holidays when needed Preferred: College Degree Computer skills including knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII), Electronic Desktop, Electronic Work Packaging (EWP), Team Center, and the Microsoft Office Suite Hazmat training Skills Skills: Good organizational skills and an attention to detail Good written and verbal communication skills Highly motivated and does well with working independently Must be able to shift between the "Big Picture" and the small-but crucial details, knowing when to concentrate on each Physical Qualifications Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Heavy Lifting, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting Environmental Attributes Acids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet Join our talent pools, get job alerts, and see EB news We can recommend jobs specifically for you!
