SECURITY CLEARANCE:

• Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in training others in the operations and performance of systems.
• Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions.
• Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems.
• Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications, and test procedures.
• Perform and test evaluation, check-out, and certification tasks.
• Perform validations/verifications of various electronic systems.
• Provide technical data and evaluation components, equipment, and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout, and contract requirements.
• Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise.
• Demonstrate experience working with Systems and Equipment onboard all classes of Navy Submarines, including new construction, and ashore training facilities.

EXPERIENCE:

• Four (4) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
• One (1) year of practical experience in electronics installation.
• Demonstrate experience working with Systems and Equipment onboard all classes of Navy Submarines, including new construction, and ashore training facilities.
• Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED or formal training from: Technical School or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
• Must be Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) certified for Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT-II). This requires one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, CND and SSCP. Must have one of these certifications at time of hire and it must remain active.
