Location: Bremerton, Washington Type: Exempt Compensation: $101,900 - $163,100 per year (Skookum's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience. Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. This is a hybrid position requiring some in office days at our Bremerton Home Office.) As a Strategic Sourcing Manager... Under the direction of the Controller, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible and accountable for developing and managing the sourcing strategy and supplier management processes for Skookum's procurement needs at a national level. Work is in collaboration with Skookum's procurement stakeholders including Regional Vice Presidents, Site Managers, Supply Managers at each contract location, site logistics leads/buyers, as well as Home Office Operations and Finance Teams (using Workday). Focus on achieving volume discounts, efficiency opportunities, automation where practical, system integration with Skookum's Reliability and Asset Management team (utilizing Maximo, UiPath scripts, and BI tools), and compliance with the AbilityOne Mandatory Sources of Supply. A balance between procurement at the national level, which includes managing Skookum's strategic supplier partnerships, while maintaining site level involvement with local vendors is key to this role's success. Skookum has a largely decentralized procurement effort; however, key areas are expected to be centralized or virtualized over time. Develop, lead, and execute sourcing strategies for service supplies in the Facilities Maintenance, Facilities Services, Janitorial, Fleet, and Grounds Maintenance lines of business. Conduct complex Request for Proposals (RFPs) with national level vendors, in partnership with Operations, to achieve volume price discounts for commonly used items across all of Skookum's sites. Use of strong negotiation skills to develop, execute, and maintain strategic supplier agreements while also maintaining an appropriate level of local site small business vendor support. Craft negotiation strategies and close contracts with optimal terms for Skookum. Establish Statements of Work / Service Level Agreements and ensure supplier performance using metrics. Metrics will be developed and maintained using both Skookum's Workday enterprise system as well as BI tools. Develop an understanding of the AbilityOne Mandatory Product Purchasing policy with the National Industries of the Blind (NIB).
