Robert Half Staff Accountant in Bremerton, Washington

Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Bremerton, Washington. As a Staff Accountant, you will contribute to our higher education industry by managing and maintaining accurate financial records and performing internal audits. This role presents a long-term contract employment opportunity that requires a hybrid of remote and onsite work.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile sub ledgers to ledgers and check balances to ensure accuracy.

• Carry out clean-up duties to prepare for the year 2025.

• Conduct in-depth audits and analyze data behind the scenes.

• Utilize knowledge of Peoplesoft and other financial systems, although training will not be provided.

• Familiarize with state boards website structure and apply previous experience in a college setting.

• Manage conversion data meticulously.

• Utilize proficiency in Excel and other software such as CTC Link.

• Perform general ledger reconciliations and handle accounts payable and receivable.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and process journal entries.

• Assist with month-end close procedures. Requirements • Candidates should possess proficient knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Proficiency in managing the General Ledger is required.

• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries is essential.

• Candidates must be capable of handling Month End Close activities.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes is vital.

• Familiarity with Oracle software is necessary for this role.

• QuickBooks expertise is a crucial requirement for this position.

• Experience in using SAP software for accounting processes is expected.
