Summary You will serve as a SECRETARY (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the Radiological Controls Department of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will maintain and control the supervisors' calendars advising them daily of appointments or conference. You will perform liaison duties as necessary between the division head, his subordinates, and other department personnel. You will function as the records custodian receiving, assessing, issuing and filing records including process instructions, directives, and correspondence. You will establish and maintain files primarily for the use of the division including material such as correspondence and reports. You will draft computer generated correspondence (e.g., memos, reports, graphs, indices, statistics) using Microsoft Office applications. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clerical and administrative support such as preparing and disseminating correspondence or memoranda, maintaining and controlling electronic calendars, receiving and screening visitors/phone calls, arranging travel reservations, and maintaining filing systems utilizing office automation to support assigned office(s) in an organization. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clerical assistance such as scheduling appointments and reservations, answering phone calls, and filing records or reports using office automation to support assigned office(s) in an organization.
