JOB TITLE: QA/QC Assistant

REPORTS TO: Regional QC Supervisor

Summary of position: This position is responsible for the day-to-day administrative support of their assigned area.

Essential Job Requirements:

Clerical duties to include, but not limited to, filing, compiling, storing and retrieving of data using computer; coordinating with field personnel in the collection of data and delivery of documents, updating Microsoft Excel files on a weekly basis for delivery to the QA Manager.

Develop and Maintain Test and Inspection Plan (TIP) for all assigned jobs. Knowledgeable with Navy Standard Items, with emphasis on 009-04 and 009-32.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision of the Regional QC Supervisor. May be required by supervisor to perform other functions as needed. Variation of duties to be expected based on-site location.

Required Education: High School or equivalent

Required Experience: 1-2 years in an office environment performing clerical functions.

Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the clerical area.

Required Skills: Computer skills required. Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word experience required. Experience with the Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) is a plus. Communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills necessary. Punctuality and attendance are a must, as well as ability to meet deadlines and multi-task. Clean background required for access to customer shipyards.
