Naval Medical Command PURCHASING AGENT in Bremerton, Washington
You will serve as a Purchasing Agent for NMRTC BREMERTON WA.
You will perform contract follow-up administrative duties for the command.
You will perform detailed review of purchase requests for specialized supplies, equipment, services, or commercial requirements.
You will procure materials, supplies, services, construction, and equipment by open market methods.
You will receive purchase request, screen needs for appropriateness, completeness, and reasonableness of information and specifications.
Conditions of Employment
To qualify for the GS-09 your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing complex purchasing work such as: negotiating and awarding bilateral purchase orders for research orders for research studies. Experience resolving conflicts associated with the administration of purchase orders such as protests, claims, and terminations for convenience or default. Experience using judgement to interpret guidelines, adapt procedures, decide approaches, and resolve specific problems such as reviewing detailed non-standardized statements of work for adequacy.
