West Sound Workforce is seeking a Property/Materials Coordinator to join a Kitsap based federal contractor who specializes in the design and construction of auxiliary and support ships for the US Navy.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and issuing Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Customer Acquired Property (CAP). The Property and Materials Coordinator also ensures compliance with established procedures and specifications for material issuance. Successful candidates will be comfortable working within an industrial warehouse environment and have experience entering information into a computer database.
Shift Information:
- Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
What you will do as a Property/Materials Coordinator:
- Perform receipt counting, inspection, stowing, and manual/computer posting of GFP and CAP
- Identifies all material with specification number prior to stowage and acts as Inspector of Materials for all items
- Writes Inspection Discrepancy Reports (IDR) and maintains manual records for periodic audit
- Accurately and efficiently pulls and prepares requested materials for transfer, documenting the process and submitting associated paperwork
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous materials/warehousing experience
- Previous experience within Naval supply and knowledge of Navy systems and repair is necessary
- Thorough knowledge of material management principles
Basic computer proficiency and the ability to input data into computer systems
