Floor Crew Lead

Where: Bremerton, WA (Puget Sound Naval Shipyard)

Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Wage: $17.32/hr.

The Floor Crew Lead is a team lead position responsible for assisting the Floor Crew Supervisor with the supervision and performance of all aspects of floor cleaning services at PSNS.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that company rules, regulations and policies are followed by Floor Crew Workers.

  • Assist Floor Crew Supervisor with assigning, coordinating, tracking and managing employee work assignments.

  • Act as back-up to Floor Crew Supervisor for completion of daily reports and job order sheets.

  • Ensure floor care services are completed per the assigned schedule created by the Floor Crew Supervisor.

  • Perform floor care work including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, sealing, buffing, carpet shampooing and vacuuming.

  • Must be able to safely operate floor care machines for stripping, buffing, carpet shampooing and extraction.

  • Must be able to safely use and maintain basic personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, safety toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves.

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Supervisory/Management Experience Preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.

  • Work may require repetitive motion including reaching out, lifting, kneeling, walking and standing for several hours at a time.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Skookum’s insurance carrier

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.

  • Must be available to work all shifts including day, swing, night, or on-call.
