Naval Air Systems Command Equipment Specialist in Bremerton, Washington

Summary You will serve as a Equipment Specialist in the Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE. Responsibilities You will influence or persuade other technical personnel to adopt technical points about which there is disagreement. You will compose written documents to justify equipment modifications. You will brief from prepared reports to management presenting status or information. You will advise others on methods of resolving airframe systems troubleshooting problems, repairing difficult system malfunctions, research and analysis, and resolving equipment problems for accuracy and functionality. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band (GS-12) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Equipment Specialist performing duties such as: 1) Experience with the design, concept of operation, performance characteristics, installation procedures, failure modes and repair procedures typical of carriers or air capable ships; 2) Monitoring and coordinating tasks related to various Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) or similar equipment, to include equipment systems' installation, operation, inspection certification and repair; 3) Analyzing equipment and forecasting parts repair, modification, and replacement requirements. 4) Providing technical leadership during aircraft carrier maintenance activities and providing reports to team leaders and program managers on project status.
