Summary

This is a Training Opportunity in the Ocean Engineering Department, Code 121, of PSNS and IMF to gain the competencies necessary to perform Engineering Technician duties. If selected, you will be placed on a Detail NTE 1 Year. *There will be no change in your salary during the timeframe of this training opportunity.

Responsibilities

You will be preparing engineering instructions and procedures to execute complex projects on ship systems and components aboard naval nuclear and non-nuclear vessels

You will be preparing specifications and providing direction for the procurement of special material and services

You will be reviewing drawings, material specifications, test procedures, and other documents for technical adequacy and compliance

You will be providing technical direction to determine test and material specifications and quality control requirements

You will be writing technical work documents, job summaries, and/or contract specifications for assigned projects
