CAST assigned to the CNO-sponsored availability to enhance Ship's Force ability to improve the material conditions throughout the ship's life cycle. CAST is a 4-person team comprised of specialists in the areas of Combat Systems (CS), Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE), Propulsion Plant, and Hull Mechanical and Electrical Systems (HM&E). They have a wealth of maintenance shipyard experience with mitigating scheduling conflicts as well as working knowledge with various shipyard codes and maintenance organization processes.What You Must HaveCandidate must have experience in a Senior role in Combat Systems Department equipment, systems and maintenance procedures on a CVN.Must have a strong background associated with the shipboard systems and must have experience on the Availability project team.The position requires a strong technical writing ability and proven capability to communicate effectively to all levels of the Chain of Command.Computer skills must include proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).Must be a US Citizen.Must have6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
