Responsibilities You will install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures. You will use hand and power tools, such as cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and pipe threading machines: and variety testing equipment. You will be reading and interpreting parts lists, manufacturers repair manuals, diagrams, electrical list schematics, and shipyard documents. You will be determining when parts should be cleaned and adjusted or replaced. You will be communicating both orally and in writing to sufficiently allow an equally experienced employee to understand the information being presented. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
