Commander, Navy Installations Canteen Operator in Bremerton, Washington
Summary Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. The Canteen Operator is responsible for the operation of a food service facility (canteen) OR a mobile food truck servicing various government work sites located within PSNS & IMF and NBK/Bremerton. Responsibilities Open and secure facility (canteen OR mobile truck). Operate a cash register according to standard cash control procedures. Requisition, stocking and accounting of inventory. Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards. Perform daily routine cleaning for a sanitary operation. May assist in production department. Perform related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Six months of experience as a Cashier. Washington State Food Handlers card would be a plus. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. Must be reliable and able to communicate in English. Education There is no educational requirement for this position. Additional Information Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
