Job Description: Currently seeking C7 blasters to perform work in a shipyard environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for connecting all air and electrical systems associated with blast equipment, including breathing air (CO Monitor and filter cartridges). The candidate must understand various blast standards and be able to produce SP-5, SP-6, SP-7, and SP-10 cleaned surfaces to established regulatory standards. Experience using various abrasives such as Black Beauty, Garnet, Aluminum Oxide, and steel grit, as well as the equipment used for these processes, is required. The candidate must have experience blasting steel and aluminum substrates and working on both exterior and interior surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Connect all air and electrical systems associated with blast equipment.
Produce cleaned surfaces to SP-5, SP-6, SP-7, and SP-10 standards.
Use various abrasives and equipment for blasting processes.
Blast steel and aluminum substrates on both exterior and interior surfaces.

Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves:
- Experience with various abrasives and blasting equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must have 1+ years' experience sandblasting, specifically inside of tanks.
Must have own equipment.
Must be able to set up, operate, and maintain airless spray paint equipment and sandblasting equipment in accordance with OSHA, federal, state, and local standards, and requirements for shipyard work.
Must have knowledge of shipyard safety practices.
C-7 Certification (AMPP or SSPC certified) must be in hand.
Dependability is crucial.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
