AMSEC Team Lead (AIT Submarine Team Lead) AMSEC (0480) Bremerton-Washington-United States 24518BR External Job Description *Position requires an active secret clearance to start **$2,500 sign on/incentive bonus offered: Bonus eligibly requirements: Candidate will receive $1,500 after successfully completing team lead training and $1,000 after successfully completing 12 months of employment. Seeking Shipboard alteration supervisors for fleet modernization with experience in various contracts such as NUWC, SPAWAR and NSWCP. Position Specifics: Must have recent experience leading multi-disciplined installation teams consisting of 20-100 employees with a minimum of 3 references. Must have a minimum of two years prior experience leading the planning, execution, and testing of all phases and disciplines on various shipboard alterations. Must have experience directing and managing subcontractors. Must have experience interfacing with customers and representing the company at high level meetings. Must possess professional written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated by ability to communicate with subordinates, peers, and supervisors. Must have experience producing status reports, work plans, technical change documents, and objective quality assurance forms. Must have prior AIT leadership experience. Must have an active DOD Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBIDS/CAC badge. Must be able to travel 75% of the time. Must be willing to work overtime. Leads technical teams for installations and repairs, within or across technical trades specialty. Ability to manage, oversee, schedule and assign tasks to one or more multiple jobs. Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel. Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
