Summary:
The Validation & Verification Engineer III will develop and execute manual test procedures for Fujifilm Sonosite’s ultrasound products. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to work on a high performing verification team and work with engineers from several functional groups including offshore testers to ensure our products maintain high quality standards. This position requires a working knowledge of all phases of product development in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices. Qualified Candidates will have previous system verification experience. Candidates should be curious about how our customers use our products; passionate about quality, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment.
Verification projects include test of system-level requirements and/or system robustness, develop and execute manual as well as execute automated test scripts, lead projects, and audit test results for active projects while adhering to the company’s quality system.
Essential Job Functions:
Review system-level requirements for accuracy and testability.
Support leading system verification projects through creation of test plans and reports.
Design, develop, and execute manual test procedures per established processes.
Execute automated test scripts.
Analyze existing test procedures and make necessary updates.
Utilize spreadsheets to support manual test procedure execution.
Accountable and able to complete tasks on time by taking ownership for all task assignments.
Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
Utilize defect tracking application to manage defects identified during testing.
Collaborate with other engineering teams.
Knowledge and Experience:
BS in Computer or Electrical Engineering and minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
Experience developing, modifying, and executing manual test procedures.
Experience in product development from concept to release including test life cycle.
Experience contributing to requirement definition to ensure product testability.
Basic system-level understanding of complex software controlled electrical and mechanical devices.
Understanding of white, grey, and black box test principles.
Experience using Microsoft applications (Word and Excel).
Experience using DOORS, Jama, JIRA, Git, Jenkins (Preferred).
Understanding of computer network principles.
Experience and/or training in an ISO, FDA, or other regulated industry (Desired).
Some exposure to software management / source control systems (Git BitBucket, Subversion, etc.) (Desired).
Programming knowledge in an object-oriented language or equivalent (e.g. Java, C++, Python or Ruby) (Desired).

Able to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.

Flexibility in work hours required to meet program completion dates.
Salary and Benefits:
$78,000 - $105,000 depending on experience + $2.00/hr. shift differential
