Job Summary:

The Senior Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing the customer communication strategy to drive awareness, demand generation and strengthened brand equity for FFSS. Working closely with product management, clinical marketing and regional marketing, this individual will provide strategic oversight for communication strategies and multichannel campaigns that increase awareness and generate leads for our product portfolios. The individual in this role will develop excellent, in-depth knowledge of the point-of-care ultrasound clinical environment, market needs, customers, and Fujifilm Sonosite solutions to lead the development of messaging and communication that resonates with target customers around the globe.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with product management, clinical marketing and regional marketing to develop messaging strategies that articulate and deliver upon the value proposition of Fujifilm Sonosite (FFSS) Products, Service, Education and FF HLUS solutions for key stakeholders.

  • Stay current with customer needs, market trends, and competitive activity. Share insights with cross-functional teams to optimize product, campaign and program messaging and content development for all marketing channels including digital marketing.

  • Develop regional and segment-specific messaging and content management strategies which promote the company and its products as industry leading while working in concert to amplify a consistent message globally.

  • Review and copyedit written communications to ensure accuracy and adherence to corporate branding guidelines

  • Work with product management to develop messaging for new product launch activities.

  • Partner with clinical marketing to develop messaging for key programs that aid customers in addressing the quadruple aim.

  • Work with NA, EU and indirect marketing teams to develop messaging and content for key programs, campaigns and customer facing activities such as tradeshows and workshops.

  • Partner with external vendors for development and production of materials, including photography, video, graphics and more.

  • Work with digital marketing for omnichannel strategies and deployment of content. Establish metrics and measure results, sharing with peers to optimize messaging and content management.

  • Work with peers to ensure a coordinated approach with the perspective of the sales team and customer in mind.

  • Establish budgets and performance metrics for marketing communications activities.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in branding and communications in healthcare, biotechnology, medical devices or life sciences space required.

  • Strong and deep marketing experience, from strategy to execution.

  • Proven track record of developing messaging and content management strategies and execution tied to results.

  • Comprehensive writing communications skills and editing capability and eye for graphic design, ability to work within brand guidelines.

  • Excellent persuasive communication skills in both writing and speaking plus the ability to build relationships with key outside influencers including the ability to influence without authority across multiple functional and regional groups.

  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and provide meaningful insights. Continually measure and evaluate processes and strategies to improve the performance of programs and tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, customer, our business, and the competitive landscape.

  • Exercises independent judgment and decisions while managing all aspects of projects.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand both the clinical and business needs of the customer and FFSS, respectively, and communicate to complex information in an easy-to-understand manner for partners.

  • Strong stakeholder management and confidence working with key stakeholders from both technical and marketing backgrounds.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work and lead under tight deadlines and pressures.

  • A talent for creativity and critical thinking.

  • Ability to develop plans, forecasts, budgets.

  • Broad leadership skills and a proven ability to focus on execution and result.

  • BS degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred.

  • Proficient with MS Office applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative applications InDesign and Photoshop desired but not required.
