Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a dynamic individual to join a motivated team of supply chain logistics professionals. This individual is expected to efficiently manage, coordinate, and oversee CAR-T domestic transportation requirements. This profession will schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound transportation related service to meet tactical requirements in support of S12 facility. Leveraging state-of-the art cGMP facility, this position will make use of existing innovations and future technologies to support all logistics and transportation activities.
Provide daily scheduling and coordination of shipments and domestic transfers including but not limited to tracking and delivery confirmations, inter-site transportation, carrier selection, bill of lading, and cryopreserve materials inbound and outbound activities.
Provide expert knowledge to internal stakeholders on transportation related requirements of Hazardous materials, DOT and IATA regulations, Foreign Trade Zone and US Custom guidelines and regulations.
Manage and maintain files of all inbound and outbound documentation in audit ready state and coordinate with internal customers in response to audits or other request for information pertaining to company and site transportation and logistics activities.
Responsible for supporting applicable transportation, SOPs, and work instruction for alignment with all required global and site policies and procedures.
Develop expert knowledge of the CAR-T Supply chain and the temperature controls required to support specialty shipping including CRT, 2-8°C, -20°C, and liquid nitrogen shipping requirements.
Develop and monitor carrier network to ensure low shipment failures and high visibility of performance.
Work cohesively with cross-functional teams in support of operational efficiency, flexibility, and assurance of transportation availability. Lead process improvements by maintaining open communication with all teams and fostering environment of cooperation in which to achieve shared goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s required or any equivalency combination of education, experience, and training may substitute.
2+ years relevant experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong focus and attention to detail.
Ability to perform frequent physical tasks with strength and mobility. Daily tasks call for routine walking and standing and occasional lifting of heavy materials.
Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and main a strong attention to detail.
Flexible scheduling required.
WORKING CONDITIONS (US Only):
The incumbent will be required to work in an office environment potentially requiring ergonomic considerations
The incumbent will be required to work in a conference room environment for moderate periods of time.
Occasional excursions to labs or production area requiring some level of gowning.
Exposure to typical manufacturing, laboratory, mechanical and warehouse environments.
