Summary The Software Support Engineer at TUI is the first line of product support for customer technical requests and reports. You will be categorizing new helpdesk tickets according to assessed functional discipline; identifying a relevant build & test environment for investigation; providing immediate elevation of issues identified aspotentially urgent; answering software related inquiries; troubleshooting (and potentially debugging in greater depth) apparent software issues or those for which software is the likely quickest path to initial characterization. You will be working closely with program managers and engineers to prioritize tasks, share information and help guide your efforts. You may also on occasion provide onsite support for a limited duration for select customer projects. Essential Functions *ProvidefrontlineproductsupporttotheTUIcustomerbase *ProviderealtimeorsamedayproblemtriagetoTUIcustomersusingJIRA,Confluence,and othertools *IdentifycustomerSWandbuildenvironmenttoconfirmusecase *Useexistingcompanytechnicaldatabase,internaldocumentation,andproductuserguideto solvecustomerissuesandanswercustomerquestions. *Contributetoproductuserguideadditionsanddevelopment *Debug/characterize SW issues asnecessary *Expandcompanytechnicaldatabaseasnewissuesareidentified *Measuresupportperformanceandcustomersatisfaction Qualifications and Experience *BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or five years full-time software development or SDET experience *C/C++ programming experience. Python experience a plus *Experience working in a customer-facing role *Experience working with embedded hardware a plus *Experience with software defined radios or RF technology a plus TRAVEL: Some travel (2 - 4 weeks per year) expected for this position. <
