Job Description Supports the technology system(s) across related organization to help maximize effective business processes and solutions. Analyzes, troubleshoots and implements key technology features to support the business in meeting goals and objectives as well as providing supporting implementation/changes that improve the efficiency of systems and technology. Provides complex technology support and solutions for users. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Job Responsibilities Leads and supports cross-functional projects to improve/enhance/implement system solutions to business processes. Collects and analyzes information from system users to identify business needs, challenges and opportunities. Establishes system specifications and objectives. Assesses and documents business requirements, makes priority recommendations and advises on options, risks and costs. Provides recommendations to management. Is subject matter expert for business requirements. Collaborates with IT staff to design and implement new systems or system improvements/ enhancements including configuration, automation and integration with other systems. Plans and executes unit integration and acceptance testing. Coordinates cross-functionally on building test data and testing new/enhanced functionality including writing basic test plans and scripts. Leads in ensuring reliable system operation. Performs higher level technical troubleshooting and problem resolution. Coordinates with IT staff and/or vendors to resolve problems. Evaluates, tests and implements new releases, patches, hot fixes, etc. Performs system work as needed, such as modifying menus, databases and spreadsheet outputs for analysis and troubleshooting, exporting and importing files into databases and building custom reports for users. Assists with management of vendor support agreements as necessary. Responsible for writing/preparing and maintaining associated technical documentation and developing/providing training to guide system users. Participates in vendor evaluation, especially RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal) and quality function deployment. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience may substitute. 7 years' related experience including enterprise business systems, business requirements management and diagramming, use case development (UML - unified modeling language). Project management experience specifically related to business process and/or re-engineering. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to effectively communicate complex information. Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Knowledge of JAD techniques. Desired Qualifications Ability to facilitateJAD (Joint Application Design) sessions. Working knowledge with SAP IS-U
