Title: Research Associate II

Location: Bothell, WA

Start date: ASAP

Pay Rate Range: $30 - 35/hr

Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent

We are seeking a highly motivated research associate to join the Mass Spectrometry BioAnalytical and New Technology (MSBT) department whose work will support quantitative small molecule LC-MS/MS analysis and sample preparation.

Our client is looking for the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will involve cross-functional teamwork in a highly collaborative environment requiring independence in lab-based work, good communication skills, and the ability to multitask.

• Quantitative small molecule bioanalysis using LC-MS/MS from multiple sample preparation techniques (such as solid phase extraction and protein precipitation) across biological matrices

• Development of novel small molecule extraction assays as well as LC-MS/MS methods

• Routine maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of LC-MS/MS systems

• Analysis and interpretation of data

• Contributes to reports and data presentations

With the following credentials:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• BA/BS in relevant field with 2+ years relevant lab experience

• A high degree of independence in daily work and report writing is essential.

• Experience in small molecule quantitation from a range of sample preparation techniques.

• Experience with automation for small molecule analysis.

• Experience with LC-MS/MS systems

• Team player and solution-oriented, with strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Experience with Sciex, Agilent, Shimadzu Instrumentation a plus.

• Experience with antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) and ADC stability a plus.

• Proficiency with electronic data analysis and communication tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Prism) and/or electronic notebook systems.
