SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Quality Engineer will work closely with Tethers engineering, assembly, and testing teams to monitor and implement aerospace Quality Management best practices, including maintaining AS9100 certification standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *Gather data and build metrics for manufactured products. *Generate scrap reports. *Act as Quality Rep in MRB (Material Review Board). *Participate on red teams for urgent resolutions. *Participate in Safety meetings. *Manage Problem Failure Reports and metrics. *Facilitate Production Readiness Meetings for new products. *Report metrics at Quality and Ops meetings. *Perform Audits to ensure QMS (Quality Management System) is being followed. *Log, Work and Manage Continuous Improvement Projects. *Serve as a Quality Rep on the Change Review Board. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS *Bachelors degree or higher in an Engineering, Quality, or Computer Science related field *Experience in a manufacturing quality certification program such as ISO 9001/AS9100 *Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) *Statistical analysis experience or related college courses *Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and other software.
