Actalent QC Analyst I/II in Bothell, Washington


Seeking a candidate to support basic laboratory activities, assist the onboarding of compendial methods, and participate in routine testing in a GMP commercial Quality Control (QC) laboratory.


• Apply the principles of current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) in a QC laboratory

• Assist with onboarding compendial methods by organizing and purchasing materials, and participate in feasibility activities

• Conduct routine analyses of raw material samples in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and/or compendial methods

• Perform sampling and inspection of manufacturing aids

• Maintain laboratory consumable and chemical inventories

• Prepare solutions used for QC testing

• Assist with the maintenance of equipment, procedures, and systems

• Support laboratory staff with various duties as assigned

• Participate in continuous improvement projects

• Comply fully with company health and safety procedures and practices

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a relevant field with 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience or a Bachelor’s degree in the biological or chemical sciences

• Organized with strong attention to detail

• Action oriented

• Communicates effectively

• Experience with general laboratory equipment (analytical balances, centrifuges, fume hoods, pH meters, pipettes, etc.)

• General knowledge of biological and/or chemical handling

• Familiar with solution preparation

• Exposure to the USP, EP, or JP compendia

• 1+ years of cGMP laboratory experience in the biopharmaceutical industry

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
