THE WORK
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager, Program Manager to lead the System Development, Modernization, and Reliability portfolio. In this key role, you will be responsible for leading program execution, leveraging the collective expertise of our cross-site and cross-business teams, and ensuring exceptional program performance. You will oversee the end-to-end management of these vital programs, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, business growth, and continuous improvement. Your collaborative leadership and strategic thinking will drive growth, foster customer satisfaction, and propel our team forward
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Program Execution & Program Performance: Lead and manage multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring successful execution of program plans, schedules, and budgets. Develop and implement program management strategies to meet customer requirements and business objectives. Focus on delivering exceptional program performance, including meeting or exceeding program metrics, such as schedule, cost, and technical performance.
• Customer Engagement: As the primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with existing customers and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international customers, including understanding customer needs, providing program updates, and resolving customer issues.
• Portfolio Growth: Develop and execute capture strategies to pursue new business opportunities, including identifying and assessing customer needs, developing proposal strategies, and leading proposal teams. Lead proposal teams to develop winning proposals, including defining proposal strategies, developing proposal content, and ensuring compliance with RFP requirements.
• Cross-Site/Cross-BA Experience: Leverage expertise and best practices from across the company to drive program success. Collaborate with teams from other business areas and sites to identify opportunities for synergy and process improvements.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of program managers, engineers, and other support staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure team success.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in program management, engineering, or a related field within the defense or aerospace industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing complex programs, including system development, modernization, and reliability initiatives.
• Strong program execution skills, with a track record of delivering on cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
• Experience with capture management and proposal development, including strategy, pricing, and customer engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and program success.
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, contracts, and compliance requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional and cross-site teams to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Program Management Expertise: Strong program management skills, with experience in program planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), Agile, and other program management methodologies, with the ability to apply these methodologies to drive program efficiency and effectiveness. Knowledge of Risk Management, with a demonstrated understanding of the value of identifying and managing program risks, formulating risk burn down plans, and ensuring incorporation into project/program plans and schedules.
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders. A team player who can lead diverse disciplines in multi-functional teams at all levels of the organization. Experience leading high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and develop creative solutions.
Understanding of cross-business collaboration, leveraging expertise across multiple Lockheed Martin business areas.
• Business Development: Experience with capture management, proposal management, and customer engagement, with a focus on driving business growth and customer satisfaction. Experience with new business capture milestones, proposals, and the cost estimating process.
• Customer & Contract Experience: Experience proposing and executing OTA contracts, with knowledge of multiple contract types, including experience with DoD customers. Strong customer collaboration experience, specifically in the areas of SOW development, contract modifications, engineering change proposals, and schedule integration.
• Program Management Skills Assessment: Program Management Assessment at Level 2.5 or above.
• Organizational and Communication Skills: Highly organized, prompt, and detail-oriented, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $146,800 - $281,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
